Rayon is one of the most popular embroidery thread types and is justified in being so desired and widespread. Often thought of as a combination of the quality of cotton and style of silk, it is one of the best types of threads for many different garment styles, but especially for embroidery. It is one of the most versatile threads for any custom embroidery application.

Rayon thread is a mixture of both cotton fibers that are spun and dyed along with synthetic polyester thread. The threads are an extremely processed version of wood and wood pulp, where chemicals were used to extract and parse down to cellulose that makes up a great deal of the natural parts of the Rayon threads.
